This is the dress that I wore in the photo that appeared in the BBC Home and Antiques magazine. I got the dress from eBay several months ago and when it arrived I thought it was one of the best things I had ever bought on eBay! Not only that, but it actually fitted me too! It was all intact with the original belt and a matching bolero. Here is the picture of me wearing it (not with the bolero):
They look so happy strolling along the prom don't they. I also have another photo of Trixie when she was little at the beach with some relatives.
I love that the two ladies in the chairs didn't stop knitting when the photo was taken!
The dress itself has quite an interesting print on it. Here is a close up photo.
I feel so pleased to have such a special dress !

ReplyDeleteMy Gran was "Trixie", Beatrix, and I have always thought about changing my name, as perhaps it wouldn't date me as much as Tracey!?
